how many wired speakers can you connect to a connect:amp?

LOADS Amplifiers are designed to power a specific “load”, meaning a speaker or set of speakers having a specific “AC impedance” measured in ohms. Impedance resists the flow of electric current so the higher the speaker impedance the less current the amplifier has to supply. Conversely, the lower the impedance the more current must be supplied. In other words, a low impedance speaker is a big workload for your amp and a high impedance speaker is a small load.

Amplifiers will burn up if the resistance is too low.(Meaning if your amp says handles 2ohm stereo, hooking a 4ohm subwoofer with dual voice coils in series will drop the load to a 2ohm load! >but the amp cannot handle 2ohm in mono/or bridged).

Efficient Amplifiers For amplifiers there is really only one choice: These ultra-efficient wonders are inexpensive but obscure. T-amps are available in a couple of different sizes, based on different amp chips: Most of the ones I can find are only sold direct from Chinese vendors through Ebay. This means they are cheap, but it will take 2 weeks to get it.

Please post if you know of other sources for these amps. I bought and tested several of the common amps I found on ebay.
