At first, I was rather annoyed with the news that the upcoming Destiny game does not have matchmaking for the raids. However, I have but recently come to accept it. However, after ruminating about the situation and discussing the issue with others, I realized that the feature is probably for the best. The daunting thing about the notion of friends-only raids is that I would have to spend a lot of time getting friends for a raid, when I really just want to start playing those missions as soon as possible.
Generally, when I play games, I am a solo player and do not want to give much thought about joining a clan or party for a multiplayer session. I just want to start playing.
