Aryabhatta the Indian mathematician

Famous Mathematicians Aryabhata Aryabhata was a mathematician and astronomer from India. He is considered to be the first in a long line of Indian mathematicians and astronomers. He calculated the circumference of the Earth as well as the length of the year to a high degree of accuracy and some of his work in mathematics is still used today. His work was translated into Arabic and from there, made their way into the West.

He is best known for his book the Aryabhatiya.
